{"id":1924,"date":"2012-10-09T18:11:07","date_gmt":"2012-10-10T01:11:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jett.in\/?p=1924"},"modified":"2012-10-09T18:11:07","modified_gmt":"2012-10-10T01:11:07","slug":"caught-by-a-german-speed-trap","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/first2board.com\/wanderlusty\/2012\/10\/caught-by-a-german-speed-trap\/","title":{"rendered":"Caught by a German Speed Trap"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_1925\" style=\"width: 710px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1925\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-1925\" title=\"photo (3)\" src=\"http:\/\/jett.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/photo-3-700x525.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-1925\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Big Bruder is watching!<\/p><\/div>\n<p>*sigh* my second european speeding ticket (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/jonk\/3047449600\/\" target=\"_blank\">first was from Spain, 2008<\/a>). i was rushing back to <a title=\"Where\u2019s Waldo (aka Me) at the Nena Concert\" href=\"http:\/\/jett.in\/wheres-waldo-aka-me-at-the-nena-concert\/\" target=\"_blank\">the Nena concert<\/a> after returning to the hotel to get my umbrella and didn&#8217;t want to end up too far back in the crowd (even though this was still an hour or two before the concert started&#8211;and i really didn&#8217;t need to rush, but at the time i didn&#8217;t know).<\/p>\n<p>i was expecting this. i saw the flash as i drove by, and even worse, i saw the camera on the side of the road earlier in the day when i drove to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.luebzer.de\/\" target=\"_blank\">brewery<\/a> (where the concert was held) the first time. i remember even thinking that i should temper my excitement and be cognizant of my speed, but clearly my mind wandered and <a title=\"Barreling Down the Autobahn\" href=\"http:\/\/jett.in\/barreling-down-the-autobahn\/\" target=\"_blank\">my lead foot<\/a> took over. 60 km\/h in a 50.
