it says “know thyself<\/a>” in Greek, and was inspired by this summer’s trip to Greece<\/a>, specifically Delphi, where the phrase was said to be inscribed on the Temple of Apollo.<\/p>\n

“know thyself” really resonates with me — without getting too personal (this is a travel blog, after all), it wasn’t until i really got to know and accept myself and be true to myself over the wishes and expectations of others that i began to truly live life.<\/p>\n

in any case, it’s the fourth in a series of tattoos that have been inspired by my travels (i have one other, my very first, unrelated to travel). in reverse chronological order:<\/p>\n

Southern Cross<\/a>, inspired by my safari in South Africa (picture was taken soon after it was done, so all bumpy; nice and flat now :P)<\/p><\/div>\n
