{"id":2842,"date":"2013-05-03T14:33:17","date_gmt":"2013-05-03T21:33:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jett.in\/?p=2842"},"modified":"2013-05-03T14:33:17","modified_gmt":"2013-05-03T21:33:17","slug":"the-most-special-ive-felt-from-an-airline-social-media-account","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/first2board.com\/wanderlusty\/2013\/05\/the-most-special-ive-felt-from-an-airline-social-media-account\/","title":{"rendered":"The Most Special I&#8217;ve Felt From an Airline Social Media Account"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>we all know that <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/united\">@united<\/a>&nbsp;(my primary carrier) is playing catch-up to the likes of <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/americanair\">@americanair<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DeltaAssist\">@deltaassist<\/a>, so i&#8217;m not really used to a lot of lovin&#8217; from airline social media accounts. so when i saw <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Lufthansa_USA\/status\/330422834729992192\">this<\/a> come through from <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Lufthansa_USA\">@lufthansa_usa<\/a>, i was pleasantly surprised! i only fly them a couple times a year, but it&#8217;s nice to know i&#8217;m appreciated as a customer (and twitter follower). <\/p>\n<p><a title=\"@jonk by Lufthansa_USA, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/68129388@N06\/8704964966\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"@jonk\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8253\/8704964966_6b7c9db9b2_z.jpg\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>at first i thought oh well, that&#8217;s nice, they probably just photoshopped my twitter handle onto one of a handful of photos of employees holding up signs, but looking at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/68129388@N06\/sets\/72157633350063922\/with\/8704964966\/\">the set page<\/a>, it seems like they actually <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/68129388@N06\/8704958972\/in\/set-72157633350063922\">printed out individual signs<\/a> and each picture is unique! (either that or i&#8217;m easily fooled by photoshop trickery. either way, it&#8217;s a very nice gesture.)<\/p>\n<p>my turn to return the thanks. i&#8217;m especially grateful for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"Snared the OpUp Unicorn on a Lufthansa A380!\" href=\"http:\/\/jett.in\/snared-the-opup-unicorn-on-a-lufthansa-a380\/\">the op-up<\/a> i had on my last flight of theirs<\/li>\n<li>for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/jonk\/8192877513\/in\/set-72157632034330832\">hosting us in Frankfurt<\/a> on the last Star Alliance MegaDO<\/li>\n<li>the Senator Lounge at IAD<\/li>\n<li>for being the only airline so far on which i&#8217;ve flown an A380 (twice, JNB-FRA, FRA-SFO), though this will change as i&#8217;m slated to be on Thai, Singapore, and Air France ones later this year<\/li>\n<li>and the only time i&#8217;ve been on an A300 (FRA-CAI-FRA), a distinction of theirs that i don&#8217;t expect to change with A300s disappearing from service<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>also, was ich sagen will ist einfach&#8230;danke.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>we all know that @united&nbsp;(my primary carrier) is playing catch-up to the likes of @americanair and @deltaassist, so i&#8217;m not really used to a lot&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":59,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_mi_skip_tracking":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"jetpack_publicize_message":"The Most Special I've Felt From an Airline Social Media Account (@Lufthansa_USA) #travel #travelblog","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[12],"tags":[456,758],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.13 -
