{"id":3227,"date":"2013-07-09T06:55:03","date_gmt":"2013-07-09T13:55:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jett.in\/?p=3227"},"modified":"2013-07-09T06:55:03","modified_gmt":"2013-07-09T13:55:03","slug":"a-quick-note-if-youre-thinking-about-traveling-to-mongolia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/first2board.com\/wanderlusty\/2013\/07\/a-quick-note-if-youre-thinking-about-traveling-to-mongolia\/","title":{"rendered":"A Quick Note If You&#8217;re Thinking About Traveling to Mongolia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>the note:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>DO YOUR PLANNING, ESPECIALLY DURING THE <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Naadam_Holiday\">NAADAM HOLIDAY<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>two things prompted this short entry:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>i was told the hostel i&#8217;m staying at could get <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Naadam\">Naadam<\/a> tickets for me, Naadam being the main reason i came to Mongolia&#8230;but they&#8217;re having trouble securing them. i was told to contact local agencies, so i sent out about six emails last night. only two had a ticket available. one wanted $75, one told me to call. i called this morning and was able to get tickets to Friday&#8217;s games (one ticket for the morning, one for the afternoon). thank you Anna from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mongolkhaan.mn\/\">Mongol Khaan<\/a> travel! PHEW! moral of the story: get confirmation you have tickets (or anything you for sure want to do) before you come.<br \/>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p>Score! Managed to find agency selling Naadam tickets for $27 for Friday. One guy wanted $75! Ha!!! (Face value $8) <a href=\"http:\/\/t.co\/ozMmYCSDjS\">pic.twitter.com\/ozMmYCSDjS<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Jonathan Khoo (@jonk) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jonk\/statuses\/354431879614697472\">July 9, 2013<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li>the doors in this hostel are pretty thin, so this morning i overheard someone being told the bad news that he was given the room next door to mine by accident, as the hostel was actually full.
