{"id":3465,"date":"2013-08-17T12:35:02","date_gmt":"2013-08-17T19:35:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jett.in\/?p=3465"},"modified":"2013-08-17T12:35:02","modified_gmt":"2013-08-17T19:35:02","slug":"instawalk-kapitulska-ulica-bratislava","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/first2board.com\/wanderlusty\/2013\/08\/instawalk-kapitulska-ulica-bratislava\/","title":{"rendered":"Instawalk &#8212; Kapitulsk\u00e1 ulica, Bratislava"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>i didn&#8217;t really have a set plan for my day trip to Bratislava from Budapest today, and having only slept a handful of hours the night before i was ready to pack it in by 3 and was seriously contemplating taking the 3:50 train back. i&#8217;m glad i didn&#8217;t, though, because i stumbled across an amazing (to me) <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?q=bratislava&amp;hl=en&amp;ll=48.143517,17.105238&amp;spn=0.001708,0.00327&amp;sll=37.0625,-95.677068&amp;sspn=46.677964,107.138672&amp;hnear=Bratislava,+Slovakia&amp;t=h&amp;z=19\">street on the west side of the old town<\/a> full of abandoned (or in-the-very-very-very-early-stages-of-being-renovated) buildings. unfortunately, they were all locked up tight so i couldn&#8217;t explore, but truth be told, if there were fewer people around i probably would have hopped a fence. <\/p>\n<p>the siren song of the abandonment and decay were calling out to me so loudly &#8212; i seriously was almost moved to tears by the serendipity and beauty of everything. ha, listen to me wax on about stuff many people would think i&#8217;m crazy for even considering. (perhaps i am?)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/jonk\/9531332992\/\" title=\"Shit I want to go inside here so bad.
