{"id":6374,"date":"2014-10-20T19:34:45","date_gmt":"2014-10-21T02:34:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/first2board.com\/wanderlusty\/?p=6374"},"modified":"2014-10-20T19:42:23","modified_gmt":"2014-10-21T02:42:23","slug":"im-fast-food-fanatic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/first2board.com\/wanderlusty\/2014\/10\/im-fast-food-fanatic\/","title":{"rendered":"I&#8217;m a Fast Food Fanatic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>as i sit here snacking on my pumpkin spice oreos (perhaps the best grocery store cookie i&#8217;ve ever had, by the way), i see a tweet from my travel guru, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mylifesatrip.com\">Jen from My Life&#8217;s a Trip<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jonk?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@jonk<\/a> why don&#39;t you start representing yourself as a fast food sommelier or something?<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Jen Pollack Bianco (@lax2nrt) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/lax2nrt\/status\/524340144761888770?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 20, 2014<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>and that got me to thinking &#8212; i really do love my fast food, and i should pull together some of the times i&#8217;ve had fast food while traveling. to those of you who pooh-pooh this (and i know a lot of you are already), localized fast food joints (even chains) are indeed worth checking out, at least in my book. sure, they may not be as fancy as your Michelin starred destination restaurants, but if they serve something you can&#8217;t get at home, why not? in any case, if you disagree with me, thank you for your concern but i&#8217;m fine the way i do. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>sidebar<\/strong> i&#8217;ll make a quick note of my favorite local stuff first: Bacon Western Double Cheeseburger at Carl&#8217;s Jr., 10-piece Chicken McNuggets with lots of barbecue sauce at McDonald&#8217;s, Crunchwrap Surpreme at Taco Bell, Double Down at KFC, Sourdough Jack at Jack In the Box. i don&#8217;t particularly care for In &#8216;n Out (*GASP*) but if i must, i get a #1 animal style protein style &#8212; with animal style fries if i&#8217;m feeling particularly oinkish.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>so let&#8217;s see what we have here. this is just a quick (unordered) list of things that i remember or are easily searchable in my twitter archives. i&#8217;m not including places that are fast but are sit-down establishments, nor am i including street or festival\/fair food. just think, this is the tip of the iceberg, y&#8217;all!
