I’ve finally been able to experience the all inclusive Hyatt Ziva in Cancun and I just loved it! In fact we didn’t even leave the resort because we had it all right there. The many all you can eat and drink dining options, the gorgeous beaches, the nightly entertainment, it was as all inclusive as you can get.
I have previously written on the many Hyatt all-inclusive hotels you can book free nights at using hotel points. This family hotel costs 25k points a night for 2 people with additional people costing additional points. Since I was going here for a honeymoon, I wanted to splurge so I emailed the hotel for costs to upgrade to the adult only Turqouize building/room. I was able to negotiate this for an additional $120 a night. So what does this upgraded Turqouize room get you?
- Private VIP check-in and reception area
- Private transfers from Cancun Airport (4 night min stay)
- Full privileges at nearby adults-only Hyatt Zilara Cancun, by coordinating with your concierge
- Beachfront tower with nearly 700 square feet and a dream bathroom
- Private balcony with jacuzzi and fantastic views
- In-room tablets to order room service or reach your butler!
- Private adult-only access to rooftop infinity pool and Punta Vista bar
This is definitely a splurge and the standard rooms would be great too but it may be nice for those looking for something a little extra special.
There are seven restaurants ranging in different cuisines, one cafe, and a desert shop. You’ll find yourself at El Mercado most of the time during the day because of the easy all you can eat buffet options. Everything was delicious and I loved the fresh juice options there.
My favorite restaurant was The Moongate which has a teppanyaki grill dinner option. The food was delicious, the chefs were entertaining and it’s great for a more romantic evening.
I really appreciated the on site cafe. Nothings brings in the morning like a fresh hot cappuccino. They also had frappuccinos, teas and some smoothie options.
We decided to take advantage of the spa by getting a massage. At the time of this posting, here were the prices which were pricey in my opinion: Zen Spa Hyatt Ziva Cancun USD. Luckily during the week they offer discounts for massages which we took advantage of. We both were able to get a 25 min massage for $50 each and had access to the spa pools and hot tub. It was a very tranquil experience and the masseuse were very professional.
Pool and Beaches
We traveled in December and both the beaches and the pools were warm. You’ll get access to beach lounge chairs and servers come by frequently to get your drink orders.

At approximately 8pm each night, they had shows ranging from a Mayan cultural experience to beat boxing and break dancers. It was enjoyable and you don’t have to leave the resort for some family friendly entertainment.
The Hyatt Ziva & Zilara brands are great all-inclusive options and I can’t wait to try all of them!
