Delta Adds Nonstop Tokyo Haneda Flight
Recently Delta Adds Nonstop Tokyo Haneda Flight from Minneapolis.
Traditionally, Delta has offered a non-stop flight from Minneapolis to Tokyo Narita airport as it was Northwest’s Asia route from the hub city.
They are now offering a non-stop flight to Haneda which is located much closer to Tokyo which makes trips ending in Tokyo much easier.
Most airlines have been operating flights to Haneda including Delta from Los Angeles. Airlines offer Tokyo Narita from the other hub cities.
Delta will be operating the route daily from Minneapolis using a Boeing 777-200 aircraft featuring all aisle access lay flat seating in Delta One.
The flight is operated as DL 120 and DL 121
Delta 120 operates Haneda to Minneapolis 4:35 PM – 1:32 PM
Delta 121 operates Minneapolis to Haneda 11:31 AM – 2:20 PM
Great Deal on Mileage Redemptions
As a promotion to the new route, Delta has discounted the route for award reservations.
One-Way Travel Promotion:

Delta does not release an award chart.
Economy runs 55,000 – 87,500 miles each way. The at 25,000 miles each way is excellent.
The deal is available from October 29, 2016 – December 7, 2016
You can book the trip on Delta.
This is a limited time sale. Make sure you book it ASAP.
The deal is available with Tokyo departures as well for similar mileage redemptions.
The award sale is available from other cities as well and will require a stop in Minneapolis.
When I looked at the chart, it appears that occasionally the Los Angeles flight is available on the sale as well. The majority of the dates require that you utilize the Minneapolis connection.
I found availability from Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Orlando and Washington DC throughout the month of November.
