Qantas First Lounge Review LAX
This is a post of Qantas First Lounge Review LAX located in the Tom Bradley International Terminal.
My colleague traveled to Tokyo on American Airlines in Business class and he accessed the Qantas First Lounge prior to his departing flight. The review is his work with minor edits by me.
I received access to the lounge as I am an American Airlines Executive Platinum member traveling on an international itinerary.
There are also Priority Pass lounges that you can access at LAX.
The lounge featured a restaurant area and a regular lounge area.
The lounge area had a collection of tables and chairs that were comfortable and offered a place to relax prior to the flight. The lounge had limited window options and it only offered a view into the check-in area at the airport.
The restaurant was setup with tables for two and tables for four over the main area of the lounge.
A large bar was setup along the wall encompassing most of the restaurant area and some of the lounge area.
The lounge section offered light snacks in self-serve containers along with bottles of still and sparkling water chilled over ice.
The restaurant offered a menu of items that you ordered from a server.
The kitchen was open to the side and you could watch some of the activity.
The menu during the visit offered breakfast items.
A variety of styles of eggs were offered, sandwiches, yogurt, Bircher as well as some Asian options.
The menu had options for everyone.
Premium alcohol was available at the bar along with multiple types of beer, wine and soft drinks. A gourmet coffee bar was also available with made to order drinks.
Three sparkling wine options were available including Pommery, Mumm and a rose was available.
The agent at the reception desk was polite and he welcomed me and told me that the lounge did not announce the American Airlines flights but he suggested what time I should leave the lounge in order to get to the gate area given the scheduled departure time.
The server and bartender were friendly and welcoming as soon as I arrived in the restaurant area. A menu was provided and I was offered beverages. The server checked in with me several times and she kept my glasses full.
I ordered Bircher with fruit and croque monsieur.
The Bircher was chilled and it was fresh and creamy and had an excellent taste.
The croque monsieur was served hot. The cheese was melted well and the ham was fresh. The bread was pressed and it was good.
The server and bartender both thanked me as I departed as well as the agent at the reception desk.
The lounge was comfortable and relaxing. It was a nice option that all guests could order directly from the menu and were served table side. It made the lounge feel more exclusive. The only drawback was the lack of airport or runway views.
