News Update Hilton Cancellation Policy & Great Hyatt Point Options

This post is News Update Hilton Cancellation Policy & Great Hyatt Point Options. It covers travel news stories from the week.

Good morning. I hope you are having a good week. What are your travel plans for the weekend?

This is news update. I read a lot of articles online each week. When I see interesting ones, I mark them so I can share with you. Did I miss something? Let me know and I will post it on a future update.

News Update

Hilton Is Matching Marriott’s Restrictive New Cancellation Policy – This is bad news and it reduced the flexibility on your reservations.

FIVE $500+ A NIGHT HYATT HOTELS, WHICH YOU CAN BOOK FOR JUST 25,000 POINTS – If you can find these hotels at the 25k point level that is a awesome! I know the Andaz Maui is difficult to book using points especially at the base level.

Kimpton Expands to Toronto – Kimpton is a fun brand that has some awesome promotions and they treat their valued guests well. It is nice to see the expansion to Toronto!

US May Ban Online Check-in For Flights to the U.S. – This is a bit disappointing but not as bad as being forced to check your laptop or iPad.

Hotels Cancel Customers’ Reservations and Hike Rates to $1,000 – Shame on these hotels for doing this. I hope the customers can receive their guaranteed rates in the end.

$100 Each Night Waldorf Astoria & Conrad – This could help offset the restrictive cancellation policy… That is if you can find a good rate. Another reader pointed out it may not be working at Conrad properties.

Book your next trip: Agoda, Booking.com, Expedia, Hilton, Priceline, or TripAdvisor. Note: Elite benefits may be limited when not booking direct.

“Free” Travel Amenity Boxes on Amazon are Back – You may be able to benefit from these offers. If you order one, please consider using my Amazon links: Men Box, Men’s Luxury Box, Women’s Luxury

New hope for breaking free of 5/24 after all? – This might be helpful for applying for Chase cards. What do you think?

Find great deals on just about everything on Amazon. I love Amazon Prime because you get free video streaming and downloads, music, books and free shipping.
