Awesome Experience Hilton San Francisco Union Square
This article is the Awesome Experience Hilton San Francisco Union Square which is a review of my wife and my stay at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square.
We stayed at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square during out San Francisco Foodie Adventure.
The Hilton San Francisco Union Square is available via cash or points.
The cash rates at the hotel were running around $450-$550 during the stay.
The Hilton San Francisco Union Square was available for 60,000 Hilton points-per night, which is rather high in my opinion.
I reached out to the Hilton San Francisco Union Square prior to my trip and was offered two nights at a Media Rate of $150 per-night for two nights. I accepted the offer and combined it with one night using 60,000 points.
It was kind of the hotel to offer the media rate for my trip to San Francisco.
The opinions and review of the hotel was my own and it was not impacted by the media offer.

The Hilton San Francisco Union Square is in a central location near Union Square in the city.
The main entrance to the hotel is on O’Farrell Street.
The hotel covers three towers and there are close to 2,000 rooms.
My wife and I arrived at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square around 9:00 PM via UBER. A bellman did not greet us at the car; however, a staff member held the front door for us and welcomed us to the hotel.
The main entrance faces a large bar and lounge area. The sound level in the lobby was very loud and it was confusing to locate where to go for check in.
The front desk was located behind the bar.
My wife and I approached the front desk and joined a line of two other guests.
After waiting for five minutes, we were invited to the front desk.
The agent welcomed us to the hotel. The agent asked for my identification and credit card. The agent reviewed the reservation details and confirmed my Diamond Status with Hilton. The agent welcomed us to the hotel.
The agent offered a choice between a $10 credit at the restaurants or continental breakfast. We requested continental breakfast and she provided vouchers and said we could upgrade for $10 per person to the full buffet.
The agent processed the registration within three minutes and she wished us a good stay. The agent provided directions to the elevator.
My wife and I were assigned room 3882 which is a king size bed room with a small balcony.
The room was small but it featured a king bed at the middle of the room.
Across from the bed was the desk and television. The desk did not offer any power outlets, which made it difficult to utilize as the only outlets in the room were by the bed and in the bathroom.
A coffee maker was present on the dresser; however, there also was not an outlet at the dresser to use for it.
A lounge chair was located next to the bed.
A small balcony that offered a view of the city was provided. The balcony was the best feature of the room.
The room was clean overall. The temperature was hot when we arrived. We adjusted the thermostat and after about an hour the temperature cooled off.
The room featured a small bathroom with a shower.
The vanity area was small but the amenities were setup neatly.
The linens were clean and had a fresh scent.
The television had a clear picture and good audio. There were a lot of channels available.
Thanks to my Hilton Diamond Status, my wife and I get breakfast each day of our stay at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square Hotel.
Breakfast is offered at Poached and includes a continental breakfast via the non-hot food side of the buffet.
A voucher was provided for the restaurant. The hotel offers an upgrade to the full buffet for $10 per-person per-day.
We elected to use the complimentary continental breakfast as we have a foodie adventure ahead of us for this trip.
The buffet was extensive for the non-hot food side.
On the morning of check out, we requested a late departure. An agent informed us we could check out at 12:30 PM for free, otherwise there would be a charge for later check outs. We selected the 12:30 PM time.
When we were ready to depart, we called the desk to check out using the phone. The agent inquired about our stay and offered to settle to the card on file. She also offered to email the folio. The agent thanked us and wished us a good day.
Our departure to the hotel was acknowledged by a doorman who offered a taxi or car to the airport. We declined and he thanked us and wished us a good day.
We were impressed by the fact that the room had a balcony. It was awesome to wake up each morning to look out to the bay and step out and sit on the chairs on the patio of it. It made for a great way to wake up. The staff we encountered were polite. The breakfast experience was good and the continental buffet was extensive. It was a nice perk for staying at the hotel. One issue we found with the room was the fact that there were not many outlets available. There were two outlets by each bed and one in the bathroom. No outlets were available at the desk or for the coffee maker. Other than that, the stay and room were excellent. We would return in the future.
