American Express Centurion Lounge SFO
This article is American Express Centurion Lounge SFO. It highlights my experience at the lounge during my time at the airport in San Francisco.
The American Express Centurion Lounge SFO article is part of my San Francisco Foodie Adventure.
The American Express Centurion Lounge SFO is located in Terminal 3 which is the terminal where United flights depart.
You can access the lounge by taking the Sky Train to Terminal 3 and going through security.
Once you arrive in the terminal, walk towards Gate 74 and 75 and you will find the lounge.
My wife and I accessed the Centurion Lounge SFO thanks to my American Express Platinum Card. Card members can bring two guests into the lounge.
There is a Priority Pass Lounge in the International Terminal A, which is the Air France Lounge.
American, Delta and United also operate lounges at SFO.

My wife and I arrived at the American Express Centurion Lounge SFO and took the elevator up to the second floor.
Once we arrived, the agent at the reception desk welcomed us, scanned my card, reviewed my identification card and boarding pass before welcoming us into the lounge.
The agent provided a WiFi password and informed us about the wine tasting option in the lounge.
The lounge is setup in several rooms.
The main room is featured around the bar where you can get premium drinks, wines and beers.
In the main room there are plenty of tables and chairs available where you can relax before your flight.
The lounge features a couple other areas, with smaller chairs, couches and a variety of seating.
The lounge is decorated with artwork depicting celebrities, which are available for purchase from Rock Paper Photo.
The lounge also features the green, gray, brown and white tones found at other American Express Centurion Lounges.
The bar area features a wall of wines which highlight Napa Valley and Sonoma wines. Guests are able to sample five different wines via a tasting machine.
The bartenders issue a paper with a barcode that allows you to sample your wines.
On the side of the bar area, you will find the food buffet.
The buffet is extensive and offers plenty of hot items including rice, chicken, soup and vegetables.
The hot items are signed neatly and plenty of food is available.
The cold items including a salad bar with a variety of items.
In addition, fresh baked chocolate chip cookies were available.
Plenty of clean plates, flatware and napkins were available and the items were signed.
A coffee machine with a variety of espresso drinks was available in the lounge along with regular coffees.
The lounge was about 90% occupied when we arrived.
We found a table in a smaller section near the coffee machine and were able to relax.
Our stay ended up being longer than expected because our flight continued to be delayed.
The delay was okay though since the lounge is comfortable and has such great drinks and food options.
A sever greeted us at our seats and offered to bring us a drink. The server also checked back with us and kept our area clean.
We relaxed for several hours and sampled few drinks from the bar.
When I approached the bar, the bartenders were polite and they quickly mixed craft cocktails for us as well as provided the wine tasting pass.
I utilized the wine tasting machine and was able to sample five different wines.
All the wines were excellent and there were a variety of red and white options.
We utilized the WiFi in the lounge and had a good connection throughout the stay.
The temperature in the lounge was comfortable and music was playing in the background.
We sampled a few of the food items at dinner time and found them to be excellent.
When we were ready to depart, we walked by a server who greeted us and thanked us for the visit.
We also were greeted by the agents at the desk who thanked us and wished us a good flight.
The lounge was approximately 50% full when we departed.
The American Express Centurion Lounge SFO was another great Centurion Lounge. We enjoyed the wine tasting option and craft cocktails made by the bartenders. We felt that the staff members were friendly and we enjoyed our visit overall. We look forward to our next visit to an American Express Centurion Lounge.
