Philadelphia Weekend Getaway
This article is Philadelphia Weekend Getaway. It is about a trip my wife and I recently took to Philadelphia and the surrounding area.
The Philadelphia Weekend Getaway is a trip report that will highlight my experience flying Delta and American Airlines as well as staying at Hampton Inn in a Philadelphia suburb.
The article will also cover a couple lounge visits that we made during our trip.
Our Philadelphia Weekend Getaway came about because my wife had a meeting in Atlantic City during the week. I decided to meet her at the airport in Philadelphia on Friday.
We drove to one of the suburbs that evening, had a great dinner and then did some sightseeing over the remainder of the visit.
We returned to the airport for our trip home together on American Airlines.
What to Do
There are so many great things to do in Philadelphia. I love visiting the Italian Market and spending some time near the water and by the universities.
For your trip, consider all the options available via Lonely Planet. They provide an excellent guide to the city.
In addition, TripAdvisor offers some great recommendations as well.
I booked two one way tickets using cash for this trip. On the way there, I traveled on Delta and purchased the ticket for about $175.
The return Gina and I traveled on American Airlines. My return ticket had a cost of $180.
We used Hilton Honors points to stay at the Hampton Inn during the visit.
