The Westin Riverwalk San Antonio Hotel Review

I booked the Westin Riverwalk hotel in San Antonio for 5,000 Starpoints and $75 cash. The room rates were an astronomical $250+ taxes which made sense to use cash and points. I chose this hotel because the location can’t be beat. It’s located in the heart of downtown San Antonio which is walking distance to all the sights.

I requested an early check-in and the room was available by noon. The hotel lobby was simply stunning and I thought I might’ve stepped into a Luxury Collection hotel.

I used a Suite Night Award which was confirmed a few days before arrival. I chose the breakfast as my Platinum amenity and I also requested a late check-out.

The suite consisted of a spacious living room with a sofa, TV, and an executive desk.

The bedroom area was not enclosed and can easily be walked in and out from the living room. The suite is advertised as a 1 bedroom suite and it felt more of like a Junior Suite. I say that because usually you can see your bedroom from your sofa in a Junior Suite. A regular one bedroom suite would have separated the living room and bedroom area by a door or a sliding partition.

The bathroom was large and consisted of a double basin sink, bathtub, and shower.

The best part about the room was the view of the beautiful San Antonio Riverwalk.

I had breakfast in the main restaurant called Zocca. The Platinum breakfast benefit is a $15 credit per person (max 2) off the menu items. Each dish on the menu was less than $15 and we ordered the Texas sized waffle with scrambled eggs, hash browns, and flour tortilla.
