The Sheraton Grande Taipei hotel offers Starwood Platinum guests an option to have breakfast in the Sheraton Club Lounge or at the lobby restaurant. I always opt for the restaurant because the offerings are generally larger and there’s much more to choose from. Some people like to have breakfast in a more private setting and the Sheraton Club Lounge offers that.

The buffet spread at the Sheraton Grande Taipei lobby restaurant was massive. Hot selections included eggs, bacon, sausage, beef with vegetables, boiled eggs, baked beans, and mashed potatoes.
Other hot selections from the buffet spread included stir fry, Chinese vegetables, fried rice, vegetable medley, fried fish, bread pudding, French toast, waffles, and fried Chinese donuts.
There was also a noodle and porridge bar where you can add your own condiments.
There was also a dim sum station and an omelet station (not pictured).
There was also a cold deli meat selection along with a carving station.
In addition, there was a massive salad bar.
There was also a small selection of cheeses.
Lastly, there was a large bread and pastry selection.
A beverage bar with fruit juices and water was also available. You can request complimentary soft drinks with the waiter.
I had a pretty large breakfast and was full after devouring delicious fried rice, fish, ham, eggs, noodles, porridge, dim sum, and bread.
Although the price point of the Sheraton Grande Taipei hotel was a bit high, it was worth every penny. The location can’t be beat since the hotel is a 15 second walk from the Shandao MRT Station and provides easy access to wherever you want to go in Taipei. Platinum recognition was excellent and the service from the hotel staff, housekeeping, club lounge, and restaurant was top notch. I would return again if I could secure another Best Rate Guarantee rate.
