Next week, I will be traveling to Toronto for a mini vacation including attending the TBEX North America ’13. When I started looking for a hotel, nothing popped at me saying, “stay here” until I found the University of Toronto. Wait…the UofT?
Many universities open up their dorms during the summer months and turn them into hotels / hostels / not quite sure what the right word is. They are offering a single room with air conditioning, Internet, linens and towels for CAD $40 per night. It is right on the light rail and as with many university campuses, it will have coffee shops, food and entertainment within easy walking distance.
I’ll be meeting up with travel bloggers from all over the world in addition to other First2Board bloggers. If you are going to be in town too, please let me know, as it would be great to meet readers of First2Board as well as other bloggers.
Have you ever stayed in a dorm on a vacation?
