Bonus Points For Using Hilton App

by VGP Guest Blogger, Rachel

I logged onto Hilton’s website last night per usual to book some December travel and I noticed their current promotion. If you book directly through the new Hilton HHonors app you can earn 1,000 HHonors Bonus Points for every stay that you book through the app.  The dates are book by December 31, 2013 and stay through December 31, 2014.  You can download the app here.

I downloaded the app and quickly booked a few stays in minutes. All of my Hilton HHonors information and preferences were all there. I liked how I could easily see all of the points that were accumulated per stay, which I wouldn’t say is easy on their website. Two benefits that says are on the app are “Know where to go with GPS services and mobile maps integration” and “Customize your room with Requests Upon Arrival”. I didn’t see either of these options on the app, but maybe they will be there when my next stay actually takes place.

The other two travel apps I use most are FlightAware and US Airways. I downloaded the US Airways app shortly after it was available in August and have been very pleased with it. Delta’s app has been around since 2011. Starwood and Marriott are both already on the app scene as well, so Hilton is a little late to the game. I downloaded the Conrad Concierge App when I stayed at a Conrad earlier this fall and I didn’t use it very much. There were only a handful of things you could do on the app and for me it was just easier to do things like book spa visits at the front desk when we arrived.

If you are looking for extra Hilton HHonors points, they are running a More Nights, More Points promotion. If you stay two nights, your points will be doubled. Three, tripled. And four, quadrupled. This is a great one to sign up for.  What travel apps do you like most? Any luck with the Hilton HHonors app?

  1. I used to think the same thing, but your post is incorrect. The bonus points are for booking with the new HHonors app, not the legacy Hilton app that you have linked to in your post.
