Instawalk: Plaza de Armas [Santiago]

finally done with most of my work, i took a break and headed over (thanks to a bip! card supplied by the airbnb) to Plaza de Armas, the main square in Santiago.

to my surprise, there was a band and dancers, i think as part of a protest against building an express subway. i only got a glimpse of the big banner and with my limited spanish, it seemed like they were saying no to an express subway but yes to an underground train? in any case, lots of things going in this plaza!

Chess players

Fountain

Towers

Buskers

Evening service

Dancers

Dancer

some bonus videos of the dancing:

finally, i had dinner (pastel de choclo! yum!!) at a local restaurant where i was the only one not interested in the soccer game:

I seem to be the only one in this restaurant who doesn't care about the game
