i had no set plans for today (err, yesterday, the fourth of july, since it’s past midnight) but after hearing philly people always talking about going to “The Shore”, i decided i should probably go and check it out. my coworkers offered up a number of suggestions (apparently there’s not just one shore, but many communities and attractions, each with their own character). they finally settled on seaside heights after i expressed interest in “seeing some snookis”.
little did i know that seaside heights is actually where they film jersey shore — something i only found out because foursquare listed the house they live in as an option for checking in.
no, i did not see a snooki or for that matter, the snooki, but here is what i did see:
