A New World Order

World Order is one of my favorite musical acts, not only because i love their music but, from what i get from Google Translate (i only took one quarter of Japanese in college, so for the most part i have no clue what they’re singing about), i like their message.

not to mention their videos are amazing. their first single from several years back was the soundtrack for my visit to Japan last year:

i follow the band’s news twitter feed and saw a tweet go out. to be honest, i don’t know why i follow them since i can’t read Japanese, but it’s a good memory nudge every now and then to listen to their music and do a little bit of escapism. in any case, while flipping through their website, i discovered they released a new album single (thanks Davi!) yesterday, complete with a new song whose video was made in cooperation with Asiana (the airline i flew to Cambodia last year, as it turns out).

slightly sappy, but nonetheless a classic World Order style song with their signature slow-mo:

it seems like the Asiana sponsorship(?) resulted in an #avgeek-y video (ad?) as well:

p.s. i need to visit Korea (preferably both of them) — and i wouldn’t mind going to Japan for a World Order concert (there’s one at the end of March or beginning of April, iirc, but alas, going to too many other places in the coming months, so no money or time.)
