Most Popular Instagram Pictures = A Year In Retrospect

i saw some tweets go by about everlapse, an app that lets you put together themed flipbooks of pictures — and they have a feature that scans your instagram and pulls the most popular ones. as it turns out, they’re all from the last year (not sure if that’s by design or not).

regarding instagram, i’m not very popular nor am i power user [i don’t #instahashtageverything], but i love using it to take pictures with when traveling.

from left to right, which is also chronological order (if you click to pause, you can drag your mouse over the image to show individual pictures):

1. Elbtunnel, Hamburg, Germany
2. – 8. Chernobyl and Pripyat, Ukraine
9. Shelves of Nutella from my local Target
10. Lake Tahoe from my brother’s wedding
11. Interchange in Chicago from United Airlines’ HQ during the Star Alliance MegaDO
12. Mosque, Al Bastakiya, Dubai
13. Burj Khalifa, Dubai
14. Dubai from the Burj Khalifa
15. Rio de Janeiro from the Christ the Redeemer Statue
16. Fjord, Norway
17. Cronuts, New York
18. ANA 787 at San Jose Airport
19. Buddha head in tree, Wat Phra Mahathat, Ayutthaya, Thailand
20. Guards at a parade, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

(heh they also chose me to be featured on the home screen of the app — yay me!)
