Midday Merry Lunch…
On the sixth day of Starbucks 12 Days of Bonus Stars (December 9th) you will receive either 2, 3,4, or 6 Bonus Stars with the purchase of any of the Starbucks Lunch Item.
From Bistro Boxes to sandwiches, Paninis, and Salads, the company is on track to expanding its lunch offerings. I’m not sure that I would make it a habit to eat lunch at Starbucks, but I can certainly see this as being extremely practical in an airport setting.
Make sure that you are using your app or registered card for all of your purchases. The offer I received today, although not the maximum, was:
You’ll notice that with each offer it states that you may use the offer as many times as you would like. Therefore, if you are purchasing more than one item, it always makes sense to pay for each item separately to get the best advantage from the offers. Of course, this rings true for any time you visit Starbucks. Separate transactions. Always.
Did anyone get 6? I got 3, which is an odd number.
Actually, that number should have been in my list of possibilities. I inadvertently left it out…. I’ll edit to correct – thanks.
I got the turkey stuffing panini today…it was actually super delicious. Thanksgiving with each bite lol
Darn! I had to skip today because I was waiting for the cable technician!
On 12-6, I got 4 bonus stars for hot cocoa. Only when I ordered peppermint cocoa, they heard mocha so I got no bonus stars because I did not realize their mistake until later.
On 12-5, I received 5 bonus stars rather than 5 for the Holiday coffee. All the other days, I have received the minimum available stars so have made no visits to or purchases from Starbucks. I guess I have to stay away from Starbucks for a few more years, I just recently started purchasing again and I must be going to often to be viewed as a valuable customer worthy of the extra bonus stars.
Oh… I’m so sorry. Things do happen… I went for my breakfast sandwich with my husband. Split the payments so that I would get not only double bonus stars, but two entries into the sweepstakes. The receipt tape messed up and we ended up with NO codes at all. When they printed the duplicate receipt… no code on them.
I wouldn’t give up if I were you though! Especially if you live close to a Starbucks… at least you aren’t having to drive 30 miles roundtrip just to get to a store! (like I do!)
I love this blog! I just stumbled upon it and find the possible # of stars per day useful (i.e 2,3,4,6)
I’ll add that you can buy multiple sandwiches in the same transaction and still get bonus stars for EACH sandwich (i.e. if your bonus was 4, and bought 3 in one transaction, you’d get 12 stars, and then the extra star for the transaction.) The other day my bonus for Christmas Blend was 8. I bought 6 packs in 3 transactions (to get the offer of a free $5 gift card for each 2 pounds) and got a staggering 57 stars! Each transaction was worth 19 stars…8 stars X 2 packs, the regular 1 star (for packaged coffee) X 2 packs, and then 1 star for the transaction.
Hooray! I’m glad to see you maximizing your purchases! I always use split transactions at Starbucks when I am purchasing more than one item!
I just request for a free code online everyday. That way I don’t feel so bummed about going 🙂
Good thinking! I think I’ll have to do the same!
