Freddie Awards and #FTUSEA

I had the pleasure of attending the Freddie Awards this past Thursday with my friend Kathy at Will Run for Miles. It was held in Seattle at the Museum of Flight and it couldn’t have been a more perfect venue. If you are ever in Seattle, you should definitely check it out.

So what are the Freddie Awards? They are awards honoring the best airline and hotel loyalty programs voted on by you, the customer. Here are the list of winners. Best Airline program went to American Airlines and the best Hotel program went to Marriott.

Following the Freddie Awards was the Frequent Traveler University held during the weekend. I got to catch up with familiar faces and meet a whole lot more people who love to travel and collect miles and points.

We also had a chance to learn about new start up ventures: FlightFishing for capturing good airline deals and Tripsy for planning your vacations with family or friends. I will be excited when these are actually launched. Also another app to try out is Traxo which is another way to organize your travel plans.

And of course I couldn’t go to Seattle without soaking up the sights! I went down to Pikes Market Place which I absolutely enjoyed. I got to try some fresh seafood, visit the original Starbucks, and just enjoy the wonderful sunny weather!
