Updates on the US Airways Credit Card with Merger

It has been relatively unknown about some details of the US Airways Credit Card from Barclays after the merger with American, particularly the 10k annual bonus. Well I received an email saying that they will continue to give the bonus in the form of American Airlines miles after the merger.

10k US Airways bonus

This is great news because my annual fee was coming due and I was contemplating closing the account but this makes it worth keeping in my opinion.

The email also states that you will receive a 25% in-flight savings on food, beverage, and headset purchases on US Airways and American Airlines flights and you’ll also earn 2X miles on American Airlines purchases.

Will you still keep the card if you currently have it?
