Convert Marriott Rewards® into 20% Bonus AA/US Miles

From now til the end of October, simply convert your Marriott Rewards® points into Dividend Miles or American Airlines miles,and earn a 20% bonus. If you recently applied for the Chase Marriott 70,000 points offer, this could be a great way to add to your American or US Airways account(s), if you aren’t planning to use Marriott points for anything. The conversion rates are kinda terrible, but depends on how you value these points. I personally am not going to participate in this, as I do see my 140,000 Marriott points valuable, since I applied for myself and my wife. I plan on redeeming them for a nice stay in Hawaii when my girls are old enough to understand yes, no, and don’t touch that snack tray.

The United rates are a bit better, but still not a huge bargain.  This could be a great way to top off a Mileage Plus account in case you have a certain award redemption in mind. See the rates below. 35,000 United miles for 80,000 Marriott points doesn’t really sound that great. BUT..if you are looking for a specific award redemption in mind, then you may want to go ahead with it.
