Instawalk: Ai Weiwei at the Hirshhorn (aka “A Dissident is Here”)

the main reason i came down to DC this weekend (as opposed to the normal NYC pilgrimage i make when i’m in Philadelphia for work) is because of the Ai Weiwei exhibit at the Hirshhorn, According to What. to be honest, i’m not really a big connoisseur of his work (i know more about the politics[, sadly?]), but with all the publicity surrounding him lately, i thought i’d really be remiss if i didn’t see firsthand what he is all about (and i’m glad i did!).

p.s. it’s free (like all Smithsonian museums) and photos are allowed as long as you don’t use a flash!
