#frifotos — A Calatrava Extravaganza

Santiago Calatrava is my favorite architect. i’ve seen several of his works from afar, including the Turning Torso in Malmö just this past weekend, but if i can get up close and personal, i’ll try.

p.s. i need to visit the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències in Valencia. that’s how i first fell in love with him, after seeing L’Hemisfèric in a commercial from my favorite German conglomerate. i tried to find a better example video (where it “winks” at you) but you can at least see it at the end of this one. (they had a whole campaign many years ago — which is why it’s hard to find videos anymore, i think — where kids boasted about what their parents did for the company.)
