I frequently use TopCashBack as a shopping portal before I make some online purchases and before I buy American Express gift cards to cover the costs of shipping and other fees. I make sure I follow all the steps of clicking the link on the website, logging into my American Express account, and making a purchase right away. I made the purchase in June and I had seen the cash back as pending, however, when I looked at the tracking ticket recently, they reversed the cash back I was suppose to be getting.
I’ve done this process many times before so I was curious as to why it didn’t work this time. When I looked at the the TopCashBack Amex GC offer page, there is a note stating that using a coupon code will not earn you cash back.
Well great, I used the code SYNCGIFT to remove the giftcard fee which cost me some money. I would rather pay the 3.95 fee and shipping costs to get the cash back as it will pay for these costs and more. This seems to be a recent change. Lesson learned and don’t make my same mistake.

BeFrugal seems to be a bit more friendly but dang are they slow.
