I booked the Four Points by Sheraton San Diego hotel for 3,000 Starpoints. The hotel was going for $130 a night, so this was a good use of Starwood points. There are two Four Points hotels in San Diego and this is the one on Aero Drive, not the downtown location. I decided to drive down here from Los Angeles on Sunday night because I didn’t feel like battling traffic on an early Monday morning.

The front desk agent upgraded me to a one bedroom suite after I asked if there were any suites available. Check out my YouTube video on how I asked for an upgrade.
The suite consisted of a small living room which had a leather sofa, executive desk, and a TV.
In addition, the room had a wet bar area which had a sink, mini fridge, and a microwave.
The bedroom was angled and barely had room to fit a King bed and a TV.
The bathroom was also angled in shape with the usual Four Points bath amenities located on the wall.
I chose the breakfast as my Platinum amenity and the buffet spread consisted of oatmeal, eggs, potatoes, sausage, and bacon.
There were also pastries, bread, cereal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, and various juices.
I had a little bit of everything from the hot selection.
The server also notified me if I wanted a made to order omelet or waffle from the kitchen. I asked for a waffle and it was delicious.
It was pleasant and short stay with a great quiet location. The location is basically next to the 5 and 805 freeway in a business park. There was plenty of free parking and the location was free of noises. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again because the room rates are really low for San Diego (sometimes under $100) and Starpoints are usually available for redemption at this property.
