The Sights and Sounds of Colonia Condesa in Mexico City

Colonia Condesa in Mexico City is much like Colonia Condesa which is a middle class neighborhood and where most of the young professionals live. It’s a hip, gentrified neighborhood that is known for trendy restaurants, boutique shops, and nightlife. Colonia Condesa neighbors Colonia Roma and can be reached by the Chapultepec Metro subway station.

Colonia Condesa is a largely dense residential tree-lined neighborhood full of colorful buildings. Think of it as a Bohemian neighborhood.

There is a large shopping mall called El Palacio along with other boutique shops.

There is even a museum and many trendy cafes and restaurants.

Colonia Condesa also has a lively street scene where vendors will sell anything, even from the hood of a car.

The food street scene can be found on the main streets of Colonia Condesa. You can find pretty much anything related to Mexican food here.

I had amazing Birria tacos from a street vendor for 7 pesos each.

In another street, I had some amazing tacos with crispy thin potato fries and beans.
