I booked the Hilton Princess San Pedro Sula Hotel using 10,800 American Airlines AAdvantage miles on useaamiles.com. The going rate for this hotel was well over $200, so I definitely got more than 2cpm out of my American miles. I had called the property beforehand to add my Hilton HHonors Gold membership number my 3rd party reservation. There’s no guarantee that the hotel will honor elite benefits on a third party stay, but it never hurts to try!

I walked over to the Hilton Princess San Pedro Sula since it was really close to the InterContinental San Pedro Sula hotel. It was the smallest Hilton I’ve ever seen and looked like a boutique hotel.
I checked into the hotel and was pleasantly upgraded to a room on the executive floor as a Hilton HHonors Gold member. He explained that I would also be given free high speed internet access and access to the Executive Club Lounge for evening appetizers and breakfast.
I noticed that the hotel also ran a shuttle service to San Pedro Sula International Airport for $12.00 USD per person. The departure times are 5:00am, 5:45am, 8:00am, 9:00am, 10:20am, 11:30am, 1:20pm, and 2:30pm. However, there is no shuttle service from the airport to hotel, so you have to take a $20 USD taxi.
My room was pretty small and contained a TV, executive work desk, welcome letter, a chair with an ottoman, and a King size bed.
The bathroom was also small with a shower/tub combo.
I had a view of the beautiful San Pedro Sula mountains and the pool.
I visited the executive club lounge for evening appetizers.
The hot selection spread consisted of beef with broccoli, empanadas, and mozzarella sticks.
There were also mini sandwiches, small dessert bites, bruschetta bites, and various nuts.
There were also pastries along with a fridge with soft drinks.
I had a little bit of everything from the hot selections and it made for a great snack.
I didn’t partake in breakfast in the Club Lounge since I had a really early flight. Staying at the Hilton didn’t make me feel like I was in the most dangerous country in the world. It’s a typical standard Hilton hotel with a boutique vibe. The location is great since it’s walking distance to the City Mall and there are a lot of excellent restaurant options nearby. I would recommend staying at this property since there aren’t many luxury hotels in San Pedro Sula besides the InterContinental San Pedro Sula hotel.
