I needed a hotel in Seattle area so when I searched, I found a pretty decent deal at the Clarion near the airport.
Since this is a Choice Privileges hotel, I wasn’t concerned about earning their hotel points, I would much rather earn the 6k United miles that would be coming my way!
I did check HotelsCombined.com to see if it was a comparable rate that I would be paying and it was!
This seemed like a great deal to me for a hotel booking I needed to make anyways. An offer I couldn’t refuse 🙂

I hope your first Rocketmiles booking goes better than mine did. I booked a hotel room in Atlanta for $130 through Rocketmiles, and when I showed up at the hotel they had no reservation for me (I should have called to confirm). I had to pay for the booking again, and hotel charged me $40 less than Rocketmiles had. It took a LONG time to get Rocketmiles to reimburse me, and even longer to get the promised air miles. I know a lot of people love them, but I’ll never use them again.
