Augusta Boulevard Sao Paulo Hotel Review

Hotels prices in Sao Paulo during the 2014 World Cup opening game were ridiculously high – even for mediocre hotels. I managed to snag 3 nights at the Hotel Augusta Boulevard in Sao Paulo for 29,100 AA miles on useaamiles.com (see: How To Use American Airlines AAdvantage Miles And Elite Status For Hotel Rooms).

It was a 12 minute walk to the Hotel Augusta Boulevard from Estação Paulista (Paulista Metro Station).

The front desk agent checked me in and appointed me a standard room with two twin beds which is what I had originally booked.

In hindsight, I should have asked for 1 King bed but this is what happens when you get too excited about the World Cup opener game the next day. He also advised me that there was free wireless internet throughout the property and gave me a passcode.

The small room consisted of a desk with two chairs, TV, miniature fridge, and two twin beds.

The bathroom had a single basin sink with a toilet, bidet, and a standing shower.

The Augusta Boulevard Sao Paulo Hotel was clean, comfortable, and very conveniently accessible to the Paulista metro station (Yellow line). The wireless internet was a bit spotty, but I had a prepaid SIM Card with data which wasn’t a huge deal. Be aware that the neighborhood around the hotel is very noisy since nightlife is very abundant on Rua Augusta. I felt perfectly safe during the day and nighttime when I went out and about. I would definitely stay at the Hotel Augusta Boulevard again if I find myself needing to be near Avenida Paulista.
