I booked the Four Points by Sheraton Curitiba Hotel for $120+ taxes on a BRG (Best Rate Guarantee) rate. I chose the Four Points Curitiba because of its central location and close proximity to Centro (Downtown). Not only is the hotel within walking distance to Centro, but also close to the trendy Batel neighborhood and Shopping Curitiba mall.

I took the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) from Curitiba’s Afonso Pena International Airport (CWB) to the intersection of Avenida Sete de Setembro (September 7 Avenue) and Rua Conselheiro Laurindo where it was a quick 20 minute walk to the hotel.
From the outside, it didn’t look like your typical Four Points by Sheraton Hotel from the United States. It was modern looking with a unique exterior design.
As I entered the lobby, I saw an official FIFA World Cup booth. I suspect that the players and/or FIFA official were staying at this same hotel during the World Cup.
I approached the front desk agent to check-in and see if there were any suite upgrades available. He advised me that the suites were sold out and offered me a beverage of my choice. I asked for a coke with ice and it was immediately brought out to me while I was still checking in. I chose to take the points as the Platinum amenity because I had an early 6am flight the next day and wouldn’t be able to partake in the breakfast offerings.
The standard room consisted of a Four Comfort King size bed, executive work desk, and a flat screen TV.
Amenities included a coffee maker and a mini bar with snacks for purchase.
There was also a letter sitting on the desk that read as follows:
“Welcome to Curitiba! The Four Points by Sheraton Curitiba Staff has designed his floor exclusively for special guests such as yourself! We have listed below the different items that you can order thorugh our Service One by dialing *1: Turn Down, Aromatic Pillows, Natural Soaps, Breakfast in the room /until 12am, Shoe Shine Service, One garment of clothing pressed during your stay (non express), Bath Robe to wear in the Room, and Slippers. Enjoy your stay with us!”
The bathroom was near the entryway and consisted of a single basin sink with the usual Four Points bath amenities and L’Occitane soap.
There was also a standing shower and a toilet with a manual self-service water streaming device for washing.
The best part about the room was the spectacular view of the downtown Curitiba skyline on Avenida Sete de Setembro.
The room definitely exceeded my expectations and they definitely treat Platinum members with the highest service. I was offered a beverage at check-in which was surprising and the list of services on the letter was beyond belief for a Four Points hotel. For your information, you can have breakfast in the room via room service for free (as stated in the letter). I didn’t get up early enough to put in an order and utilize this benefit. All in all, I had an awesome stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Curitiba hotel and would return in the future.
