The Last piece of 1,000-point Banana Chocolate Cake

By PlushAdventures

Platinum Hyatt Gold Passport members had historically been awarded a Platinum Extras award for every 3 stays completed. The award options included a club upgrade, a food & beverage amenity or extra points when dining at a property (no stay required).  The award was discontinued on 12/31/12.

My last award certificate was expiring on 3/31.  I have no stays planned between now and then, so I decided to go for dinner at the Hyatt closest to my house, the Hyatt Lisle.   Restaurant.com had a $10 certificate for $1.40 for Chatfield’s, so I snagged one a few days ago.

I ordered up some buffalo wings with a side of fries for dinner.  I decided to go for dessert, and the banana chocolate cake on the menu was calling me.  Well, it was the best cake that I have had in a long time!

If you have a Platinum Extras certificate sitting at home…dust it off.  It’s time to spend it or loose it.  Memorabilia is good, but 1,000 Gold Passport points and Banana Chocolate Cake is GREATcake.
