The North Pole vs North Pole Alaska – North Pole, Alaska should not be confused with The North Pole.  The North Pole is the northernmost point on the Earth, lying diametrically opposite the South Pole.  It’s a full day’s trip to reach the North Pole and there’s not a whole lot to see. One interesting fact is that there is no time zone assigned to The North Pole. It is the only place on earth where time stands still.

Here’s The North Pole

The North Pole is as far, far north as you can go and is all natural. There is very little at the North Pole and no one lives there full time. North Pole, Alaska is a small town north of Fairbanks but before The North Pole that capitalizes on Christmas and Santa Claus.  The Santa Claus House is a tourist shop with just about everything Christmas you can imagine and lots of North Pole branded goodies. You can also have a coffee – Santa’s Coffee is brewed in North Pole, Alaska.

One North Pole would not exist with out the other, but they ware two very different tourist destinations!
