Uber and PayPal Team Up This Thanksgiving

The other night, my wife and I were out celebrating with our friends, and enjoyed one too many drinks to drive home legally or safely. So, we pulled up Uber on our iPhone, and within six minutes, a driver was there to pick us up in a beautiful Cadillac Escalade. A safe, dependable ride home is worth everything – especially during the holidays.

These Thanksgiving holidays, Uber and PayPal have teamed up to offer a $15 discount on your next ride. It’s a pretty simple, with just a few required steps.

First of all, if you don’t have an account, sign up for one. For a free $10 credit to your NEW account, use this invitation link: https://uber.com/invite/uberf2b In the spirit of full disclosure, this is a personalized invitation link, and will net us a $10 credit (as well as your $10 credit) on your first ride. So, thanks in advance if you use it!

Next, just be sure to follow the steps below:

1. Update your Uber app to the latest version
2. Select “Payment” from the menu in your Uber app
3. Tap “Add Payment”
4. Tap “PayPal” to add your PayPal account
5. Select PayPal as your payment method and take a ride. The discount will apply automatically.

If you already have an Uber account, still use the above steps to attach PayPal as your primary method of payment, and you’ll get the discount. It is not just for new accounts. Please note that the offer expires on 11/28/2013.

*Note, if you live in, or are visiting Orange County, CA anytime between now and January 31, 2014, you can also apply code OCHOLIDAYS for a whopping $50 credit on your FIRST RIDE! We’ve heard mixed results about this code working in other areas, bur surely it works in OC.
