I walked through the Copacabana neighborhood in the morning time and you can see exercising is a big deal in Rio de Janeiro. Morning joggers passed by as I walked through the beach sidewalk.

Beach chair vendors are also a big deal in the Rio beach economy. During the day, they set up shop in a small area in front of the beach and also roam around to find customers. I call it the beach chair mafia since there are so many of them.

You can find many sidewalk vendors selling food and drink as well as skateboard rentals.

Early in the morning, people are already playing volleyball in the sand.

There is even a kid’s play area if you need to keep children occupied.

There are many coconut water vendors that will cut open a fresh coconut for R$4.00.

There was a movie shoot going on in the beach which is no surprise as the beaches of Rio are just simply amazing.

If you need to stock up on supplies, visit your nearest Zona Sul supermarket located within the neighborhood.
