I went to check out the Executive Lounge in the Towers building at the Westin Bund Center hotel. Guests who stay in an executive suite have access to the executive lounge. If you are a Starwood Platinum, but did not get an upgrade to a suite, you can still get key coded to access the lounge.

You know you’re in the executive lounge when there’s an awesome fluorescent jellyfish tank.
There was plenty of seating as it seemed like I was the only one there and the buffet spread was pretty big.
I didn’t eat anything at all because I wanted to save up room for dinner in the city, so I just had a cup of green tea.
I chose to have breakfast the next morning in the lobby restaurant.
The buffet is divided into two separate sections. You have the traditional English and American breakfast in the main area. There were all sorts of breads, eggs, bacon, sausage, hash brown, baked beans, ham, yogurt, fruits, and much more. It even has an omelet station!
The other area consists of a Chinese breakfast with dim sum, bbq pork, chicken, Shanghai noodles, fried rice, century year old eggs, soup dumplings, congee, and much more.
I love having a Chinese breakfast whenever I’m in Asia, so I had two plates of deliciousness.
Even though this hotel was pricey, it was well worth it in terms of location. You are basically in the city-center of Shanghai with access to the nearby YuYuan Garden metro station that can take you anywhere. The Platinum treatment was awesome and the staff was friendly. The executive suite was just simply amazing. I felt like I had my own apartment in Shanghai with awesome views of the Bund.
