First2Board Charleston Sessions Friday Cocktail Reception and Dinner

The First2Board Bloggers had a conference of their own that started early Friday morning from 10am until 6pm. I can’t review our Bloggers only conference because it’s confidential proprietary information. (Sorry!) I can tell you however that First2Board has had a tremendous growth since we started in March of 2013. Our readership and bloggers have grown exponentially larger than we possibly could ever imagine and I’m glad to be part of this close knit community.

First2Board officially kicked off the Charleston Sessions Friday evening with a cocktail reception at 6pm in the beautiful lobby of our host hotel, the Aloft Charleston.

In addition to being provided two drink tickets (which is included in the $45 general admission), there were buffalo wings, vegetable and dip tray, and a large dispenser of alcoholic Moonshine.

After cocktail hour, we headed to 82 Queen restaurant located in downtown historic Charleston where it was restaurant week. We had a pre-fixe menu of 3 courses for $30 and during restaurant week, there was no option to order from the restaurant menu specifically at 82 Queen.

I had the She-crab soup, which was delicious and a local delicacy in Charleston.

As the main entrée, I ordered the Shrimp and Grits which was their famous dish at 82 Queen. The shrimp complemented the grits so well and it was really good.

For dessert, I had an assorted cheese plate which was delicious as well.

After dinner, we headed back to the Aloft Charleston Airport hotel where we mingled in the lobby and played pool until the wee hours of the morning.
