The Sights and Sounds of Nightlife in Charleston South Carolina

After dinner on Saturday night, a few of us headed out to downtown Charleston for some bar hopping. Many of us had never been to Charleston before, so we decided to start on King Street where many College of Charleston students hang out on the weekends.

We started out at Fish bar and the drink menu consisted of local beers and southern cocktails. The prices were quite reasonable as well.

I ordered a Southern Pecan beer which was very good.

Next, we went to A.C.’s Bar & Grill which seemed more of like a college dive bar.

The drinks were really cheap and nothing cost more than $4.00. I had a Blue Moon harvest pumpkin ale bottled beer for $2.25.

The bathroom was a dive as well and I chuckled at the ladies bathroom sign.

Inside the men’s restroom, I noticed a chalkboard and somehow I wrote my blog URL and my Twitter handle. I guess that’s what happens when I have a few drinks.

I had some kind of Twitter follower milestone and I told Becky from Girl and Globe to write my Twitter handle in the ladies restroom to see if anyone would follow me.

Elena (Giddy for Points), Jason (Food Wine Miles), Caroline (Point Princess), and Mark (TravelBlawg) paired up to compete against each other in a round of pool.

We continued our bar hopping and ventured into L.I.F.E Bar & Lounge which resembled a hospital. I had a Sweetwater beer.

Next, we headed to Dudley’s where we got a round of Jell-O shots.

Our final destination landed us at Bar Pantheon which seemed more of like a nightclub. Apparently the nightclub is 18 and over and those who were 21 were allotted wristbands (so you can order drinks).

Becky (Girl and Globe) and Elena (Giddy for Points) was photo bombed by Sean.

The theme of the night seemed to be photo bombing. Elena (Giddy for Points), Caroline (Point Princess), Sean, and Jeff (Induge the Wanderlust) was photo bombed by Jason (Food Wine Miles).

Look at all these drinks Susan (Southern Travel Girl) and Mark (TravelBlawg) consumed at the bar.

I took a video of the nightclub and it seemed like Mr. Pickles was offering everyone free helicopter rides.
