Requesting Your Starwood Gold and Platinum Thank You Certificates

Today, I received an e-mail from Starwood asking me to request my Platinum Thank You certificates.

I’ve always received them in the postal mail automatically with each year of achieving Platinum status with Starwood. In the email, it says that you have to manually request them via spg.com/platinumthankyou and you can either choose your certificates to be sent to your home or print them electronically. By the way, if you’re Gold, you can try to request them via spg.com/goldthankyou

These certificates come in handy when you want to recognize an employee of Starwood Hotels. The employee could be your Platinum Ambassador, Platinum Concierge, hotel front desk agent, housekeeping maid, and etc. The employee then keys in the unique code found on the back of the certificate and can redeem them for Starpoints. I’m not sure what the amount is, but I’ve heard it’s 500 Starpoints or more.

I requested my certificates on spg.com/platinumthankyou and chose the postal mail option because I like to hand out hard-copies.

Here are some reasons why Starwood employees love to receive these Thank You certificates:
