Why I Love Starwood Platinum Suite Night Awards

Fantastic Suite at the W Mexico City

I just crossed the 50 night threshold for 2013 after my award night counted from a recent stay in New York.

I’ve had some amazing suites so far this year using Starwood’s Suite Night Awards.

I have Starwood hotel booking reservations for next year and noticed that the “Apply a Suite Night Award” was activated for 2014 since I just hit 50 nights and was awarded 10 Suite Night Awards for 2014.

I was able to successfully request a Suite Night Award upgrade on a Presidential Suite for one of my upcoming Cash & Points stays next year.

The going price for the Presidential Suite is over $7,000 USD! It would be amazing if the Suite Night Award would clear five days prior to my arrival.

  1. Wow I had the Westin and the Hongta Hotel suites in Shanghai as well. Small world.

  2. I used 5 in Florence last month and am using 5 in Peru next month. Going to use another 5 in Paris in March. I like the 5th night free redemption (but some people in this hobby don’t stay anywhere for more than 1 night…)
