Hilton Bogota Hotel Review Part 1

I stayed at the Hilton Bogota for two nights and booked the first night using 30,000 Hilton HHonors points. I booked the second night for $79 using an MVP corporate rate. There was a disparity in price because the first night fell on a business heavy weekday where the rooms were going for over $300. My second night fell on a weekend where business travel slows down and is pretty much non-existent which is why the rooms were going for less than $100.

I took a 20 minute cab ride from downtown Bogota to the Hilton Bogota located in the Chapinero neighborhood for $5 USD which was really cheap.

The lobby was very modern in décor and throughout my stay, it was very busy and felt almost like a “W hotel” living room.

Before arrival, I was pre-upgraded to a one-bedroom suite as indicated on my Hilton HHonors reservations profile. I am only a Hilton HHonors Gold member. Since my rooms were booked separately, I asked the front desk agent if I could have the two reservations combined. He said it was no problem so I could stay in the suite for two nights consecutively without checking out the first night.

I went up to my suite at room 815 and made a video of the room.

The living room was very small, yet simple and contained a sofa, small coffee table, and a TV. There was also a small minibar by the entrance.

The bedroom was larger than the living room and contained a King size bed with a TV.

Access to the bathroom was located in the middle of the hallway. You have to enter through the walk-in closet in order to access the bathroom.

The best part about the room was the amazing view of Bogota.

In the next installment, I will be reviewing the Hilton Bogota Executive Lounge, breakfast, and room service food.
