The flight from BOG-MIA (Bogota, Colombia to Miami, Florida) was operated on American Airlines. I used an American Airlines SWU (systemwide upgrade) to upgrade from coach to business class. Keep in mind that this was a red-eye flight.

The plane was a 2-2 configuration on a 757-200 in Business Class. The seats were pretty much Eisenhower-era in business class and there was no amenity kit on this flight. Pillows and a blanket were provided in Business Class.
I always like sitting in 1B (bulkhead aisle) for some reason (not because of FEBO).
Before departure, I was offered a choice of beverage and I chose water.
After take-off, the flight attended handed me a hot wet towel.
Hot mixed nuts were served shortly after the hot towel collection.
I also had my favorite on-board drink, cranberry and vodka with lime.
I pre-ordered my entrée on the American Airlines website and I chose the Carne Asada burrito. The carne asada burrito was also plated with fruit. The burritos were nothing to write home about and tasted pretty bland.
Flan was for dessert and everything was served in one plate. The flan was the best part about the meal and it was delicious.
After the meal, I got some rest on this short 3 hour flight. I suppose everything was served in one tray because it was a red-eye flight and the flight attendants just want to get the meal service over with so passengers can get some rest. In addition, the service was excellent and fast.
