The La Macarena neighborhood is mostly residential, but this artsy and bohemian neighborhood is definitely a sight to see.
There are also beautiful murals and a church in Barrio La Macarena.
There also many local shops and restaurants in the La Macarena neighborhood.
This local coffee shop is simply stunning and feels like a library.
There is also a local shop called Soluciones (Solutions) that sell local Colombian handicrafts inspired by the Bohemian neighborhood of La Macarena. (see if you can spot Mommy Points)
I visited the Planetario de Bogota which is a science museum located in Barrio La Macarena.
There were a ton of kids waiting outside the Planetario to get into the museum.
I was intrigued by the museum, so I bought a ticket.
When I sat down inside, I was mobbed (like a celebrity) by a bunch of Colombian kids intrigued by me:
