American Airlines MIA-BOG 757-200 Business Class

The flight from MIA-BOG (Miami to Bogota) departed from Concourse E and it’s only a 3 hour flight. It’s one of the shorter flights to South America from Miami and the distance is almost like LAX-DFW. It was a dinner flight since my flight left at 8:30pm (Eastern) and arrived at 11:30pm (Central) same day.

The business class cabin was a 2-2 configuration. There were no amenity kits to be had on this short international flight. However, a pillow and blanket was provided for the three hour flight.

I chose sparkling wine from the tray of assorted pre-departure beverages (water, orange juice, and sparkling wine).

After takeoff, the flight attendant served a hot wet towel.

As a drink choice, I had cranberry and vodka with lime along with hot nuts. I really dislike it when the flight attendant serves the whole can. In this case, she didn’t even pour it for me.

One thing I noticed is that this flight was not loaded with Tito’s Handmade Vodka and still had Absolut Vodka.

As a main entrée, I had the Beef Filet with potatoes au gratin, asparagus, and lump crab.

The entrée also came with mixed greens and cheese bread.

As you can see the lump crab meat is wedged between the steak and the asparagus. I was surprised to find a surf and turf dish on American Airlines and it was delicious.

I had chocolate ice cream topped with chopped walnuts and marshmallows which was delicious. I wasn’t expecting a made to order ice cream sundae on a 757 and especially not on a 3 hour flight.
