Behind the Scenes at LAX with American Airlines Onboard the A321T Part 3

The American Airlines Airbus A321T seems to be a flight attendant’s dream plane to work on-board. Everything is brand spanking new with the product and design team who thought up of how to ease the speed and efficiency for service to their customers.

Part 1 – American Flagship Check In and Registration
Part 2 – Onboard the A321T – First Class, Business Class, Main Cabin Extra and Main Cabin features
Part 3 – Inside the Cockpit and Galley with an On the Tarmac Experience
Part 4 – Final Thoughts and Comparisons between the Airbus A321T versus the Boeing 767-200

I’m sure the flight attendants will love the electronic touchscreen cabin lighting controls and other features that control the cabin audio, video, and ambiance lighting.

The galleys are spacious and I love how the first class cabin features an espresso and cappuccino machine with illy espresso coffee products.

There is one lavatory located in the First Class cabin and another lavatory located in the Business Class cabin. Both lavatories are the same sizes.

I had a chance to tour the cockpit and made a video:

After touring the American Airlines Airbus A321T aircraft, we headed down to the Tarmac to take pictures of the beautiful plane. I also made a video of my on the Tarmac experience:

Here are some pictures that I took while on the Tarmac:

  1. Great actual review, vs a rehash of a PR release. Still hard to imagine that after all these years there will be no widebody transcon, and can’t stand the Greyhound Grey scheme – but still an improvement.

Considering how much $ they cost – I wonder how quickly the IFE will be a dinasaur with the future being Wifi + personal tablets? Also very boring interior color scheme with yet more grey/dark blue etc. You don’t have to be the old Braniff – but can’t we get some color somewhere on a plane?!!

Others have complained about the new slimline seats on 320’s with the moving of the bin/tray higher, and some seats sliding instead of reclining – did you notice any potential problems with that and laptops?

Let’s see what DL does with frequencies on their 763’s as the last widebody – and B6 does with pricing of Mint.
