Points Summary

Changi International Airport SATS Gateway Premier Lounge

As an oneworld emerald member, I had a plethora of lounges to choose from including the British Airways Lounge and the Qantas Singapore Lounge in Terminal 1. Since I was departing really late at night, both lounges were already closed. Thankfully, there were other lounges to choose from.

I decided to head to the SATS Gateway Premier Lounge in Terminal 1 of Singapore’s Changi International Airport. I was able to get in due to my Priority Pass Select membership from my American Express Platinum card.

The SATS Premier Lounge had plenty of seating in the main room for Business Class customers. Priority Pass customers are allowed only in the Business Class side.

There was also massaging chairs and a business center equipped with computers.

The hot selections of the lounge spread consisted of duck congee, shrimp noodles, beef, roasted new potatoes, fish, rice, and soup.

There was also a selection of bread, various sandwiches, cold deli meats, salad, whole fruit, and cake for dessert.

Beverages included wine, spirits, apple juice, water, coffee, and tea.

I had the shrimp with pasta dish and it was delicious.

There is also a separate First Class lounge located near the business class computer section. However, no one was checking to see who was actually in First Class, so I happened to walk right in. It’s a very small section with sparse seating.

The food selection consisted of white rice, fish, and fried rice.

Beverages included white wine (same as business class) and a fridge full of soda and beer.

I had some fried rice and fish which was delicious.

I had a chance to take a quick shower before my flight to Tokyo. The water pressure was great, but the only downside is that there was no toilet within the shower room.
