Points Summary

Narita Airport Main Terminal 2 JAL First Class Lounge

There are so many lounges at Terminal 2’s Narita International Airport, but my favorite First Class lounge is the JAL First Class Lounge. Only First Class passengers on Japan Airlines or oneworld emerald members can access the Japan Airlines First Class Lounge. There are two JAL First Class Lounges, one I’ve reviewed previously in the Satellite Building and the Main Building (this review).

I was able to enter the JAL First Class Lounge due to being a top tier American Airlines Executive Platinum member (oneworld emerald).

The First Class Lounge also has a Relaxation Corner which offers complimentary showers and massage services. The showers are available from 7:30am to 9:00pm and the massage is by reservation only. The massage hours are from 8:30am to 12:30pm (last one at 12:15pm) and resumes in the afternoon from 3:00pm to 7:00pm (last one at 6:45pm).

The JAL First Class Lounge was pretty empty considering it was in the early evening.

There is also a private business center equipped with computers.

The buffet was massive and consisted of salad, fruit, Japanese sweets, mini sandwiches, bread, pastries, and soup.

The hot entrees included Chinese noodles, dim sum, steamed rice, stir fried seafood and vegetables, fried noodles, and miso soup. Spaghetti was also available (not pictured).

There were also various Japanese side dishes and condiments such as pickled plums, radish, and cucumber.

The buffet was so massive, there was a separate area for light snacks such as chocolate covered almonds, cookies, wafers, salted crackers, and an assortment of cheese.

As with the wide assortment of food, there was a massive choice for beverages. There was a fridge full of juice, milk and water.

An espresso machine for coffee lovers was also available along with a soda fountain.

An automated Japanese beer dispenser was also available (best thing ever invented).

A full bar equipped with a bartender is also at your disposal.

If you’d rather make your own drink, you can choose from the various alcoholic spirits and pour yourself a glass of wine or sake.

The hot dishes weren’t that great, but the miso soup was excellent.

I’m a big fan of sushi and was highly disappointed that this lounge did not have any at all. Even the Japan Airlines First Class Lounge in the Satellite Building had no sushi in the buffet. This lounge has the largest assortment of food over the JAL First Class Lounge in the Satellite Building. I would have to say the best lounge overall in terms of ambiance, space, and service would have to be this one. For all you can eat sushi, check out the JAL Sakura Lounge in the Satellite Building and you won’t be disappointed.
